Solar power generation units and beautiful landscaping literally make the premises Green. Incinerators and Bio-Gas generators have also been installed. Irrigation systems covering the entire facility using treated in-house waste water are in place. Employing e-trucks, setting up green yards, groundwater replenishment, reducing waste generation, promoting paperless work, are all pursued.
A well designed Rain Water Harvesting system - super sized collection pond well connected to a network of scientifically laid out percolation pits - is in place.This facilitates storm water management and also helps in maintaining ground water levels in the vicinity. This facility has won the Best Environmental Initiatives Award by Kerala State Pollution Control Board, Govt. of Kerala, for the year 2014-15 for its substantial and sustained efforts in pollution control and for initiatives in environment protection.
